Trae

Follow the Windows or macOS steps for your system.

The China edition is available from Trae China. Before configuring it, check that Models → Add Model offers Custom Config.

Windows

1. Install

Download the Windows installer from Trae, run it, follow the installation prompts, and open Trae.

2. Configure

Prepare an API Key and copy a model ID from the model catalog that supports Chat Completions and is available to your Key. Replace YOUR_MODEL with that ID.

1. Open Trae settings and go to Models.
2. Click Add Model, then select Custom Config.
3. Select OpenAI Chat Completions, turn on Full URL, enter https://api.get-apikey.com/v1/chat/completions as the Custom Request URL, then enter your API Key and YOUR_MODEL as both the Model ID and Display Name.
4. Add the model and select it in the chat panel.

3. Use

Save the settings, fully quit Trae, and reopen it. Start a chat, choose the model you added, and send Reply only OK. Once you receive a reply, enter your task.

macOS

1. Install

Download the package for your Mac from Trae, follow its installation steps to add it to Applications, and open Trae.

2. Configure

Prepare an API Key and copy a model ID from the model catalog that supports Chat Completions and is available to your Key. Replace YOUR_MODEL with that ID.

1. Open Trae settings and go to Models.
2. Click Add Model, then select Custom Config.

4. Add the model and select it in the chat panel.

3. Use
