Follow the Windows or macOS steps for your system.

Windows

1. Install

Download the Windows installer from Cursor, run it, follow the installation prompts, and open Cursor.

2. Configure

Prepare an API Key and copy a model ID from the model catalog that supports Chat Completions and is available to your Key. Replace YOUR_MODEL with that ID.

1. Open Cursor Settings and select Models.
2. Open API Keys and enter the GetRun API Key directly in the OpenAI section.
3. Enter https://api.get-apikey.com/v1 as the OpenAI Base URL.
4. Add or enable YOUR_MODEL and save.

3. Use

Save the settings, fully quit Cursor, and reopen it. Start a chat, choose the model you added, and send Reply only OK. Once you receive a reply, enter your task. Select the configured model explicitly instead of Auto.

macOS

1. Install

Download the package for your Mac from Cursor, follow its installation steps to add it to Applications, and open Cursor.

2. Configure

Prepare an API Key and copy a model ID from the model catalog that supports Chat Completions and is available to your Key. Replace YOUR_MODEL with that ID.

1. Open Cursor Settings and select Models.
2. Open API Keys and enter the GetRun API Key directly in the OpenAI section.
3. Enter https://api.get-apikey.com/v1 as the OpenAI Base URL.
4. Add or enable YOUR_MODEL and save.

3. Use

Save the settings, fully quit Cursor, and reopen it. Start a chat, choose the model you added, and send Reply only OK. Once you receive a reply, enter your task. Select the configured model explicitly instead of Auto.

Supported features

Custom API Keys apply to chat models. Tab completion still uses Cursor’s built-in models. See the official API Key guide for supported models and account limits.
